SOLD 1972 Gibson SG Standard Electric Guitar in Walnut Brown
Cosmetic Condition: Great playing vintage guitar with a cool vibe. There are various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light play wear. At some point the orinal owners has etched his New York phone number into the heel. There is also some damage to the timber surrounding the input jack. Overall the guitar is in pretty good shape and a great players guitar.
Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged, cream binding. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Vintage Grover tuners in perfect working condition. The G tuner is unoriginal, but looks very much like the others & works great. 1 9/16″ nut width; 24 3/4″ scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body is very resonant & appears to be one piece. 5-ply, small black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Stopbar tailpiece with adjustable bridge; chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 11 oz.
